Coached by Dave Cowens, they played their games at the Worcester Auditorium. Star Player Michael Adams went on to became an All Star in the NBA with the Washington Bullets. The Worcester Counts lasted one year in 1989. The Worcester 78's started a team in 2017 and even played some games at Worcester State. The new team is trying to practice at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church of Our Lady of Providence Parish. They are looking at college gyms throughout the city to play their games.
